Jolo chapel blast won't spill over in Metro Manila — Aquino

12/28/2010 - MANILA, Philippines (PNA) — President Benigno S. Aquino III said on Tuesday that there is no indication that the Jolo chapel explosion on Christmas Day will have a spillover in Metro Manila.

President Aquino, in a text message to Palace reporters, said there was no credible reports of a spillover of the Jolo chapel explosion in the National Capital Region (NCR).

Aquino earlier told Palace reporters in a media interview on Monday that he already instructed Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Jesse Robredo and Defense Secretary Volatire Gazmin to initiate a thorough investigation on the Jolo, Sulu explosion in a chapel inside a police camp on Christmas Day wherein 12 persons were injured, including two priests.

The President refused to name the suspects in the bombing incident in Jolo while awaiting the complete reports.

He also said that there were some groups named in the initial reports regarding the Jolo chapel explosion but the chief executive refused to divulged it until the report was completed by the authorities (Manila Bulletin)
